My journey to becoming an Electrologist began with my own painful, personal unwanted facial hair drama. It started with just a few hairs during my teen years then heavy dark hairs on my chin and over the years it became a very embarrassing, emotional and visual problem.  I began the daily ritual of shaving, tweezing, waxing, bleaching and depilatories with no long term relieve in sight. As faith would have it, during a conversation with a co-worker that was dealing with excessive facial hair (sideburns); she shared with me her own drama and that she was seeing an Electrologist. 

What!  A permanent solution!

I scheduled an appointment and I never looked back. I must confess that it was not the most comfortable feeling but it didn’t matter because the excessive chin and lip hairs was more painful to me than the treatment; every week at the beginning then every two weeks, then less treatment time, as my facial hair growth began to reduce and fade away.  Electrolysis has been a lifesaver for me! As the years went by, I enjoyed smooth, soft, radiant skin free of unwanted hair.  Fast forward to 2019, I was faced with a career dilemma, I have been working as a Dental Hygienist for many years and was looking for something as rewarding as Dental Hygiene. Electrolysis was at the top of that list. As fate would have it, I decided to take the opportunity to enroll as an apprentice under the direct education and training of a skilled Electrologist: Debby Rennert. Under her direction, training and expertise; I gained invaluable knowledge and clinical skills.  Just before the pandemic hit and everything was shut down, I passed my test and gained my credentials as a licensed Electrologist practicing inside Salon Tan Bellissimo in Taylor MI.
